Booker T Claims Triple H Was A Bigger Star Than CM Punk Ever Was

By | December 2, 2021

Triple H is certainly a veteran in the pro wrestling world and is one of the most important figures in the company’s history, being one of the mainstays of the Attitude Era. His career spanned several World Title reigns and memorable moments throughout the years. It seems Booker T has a high opinion of Triple H when compared to CM Punk.

Triple H is also infamous for burying fellow pro wrestlers and there are multiple instances of that taking place, even as early as his DX days. It was said that he even refused to put over D’Lo Brown during an important feud.

During CM Punk and MJF’s intense promo battle on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk mentioned Triple H in a way to brutally diss MJF. It seems Booker T didn’t take too kindly to that.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T addressed CM Punk’s attack on Triple H. Booker T said that Triple H was a bigger star than CM Punk ever was, even before he married Stephanie McMahon in 2003.

“It kind of ticks me off, I have worked with Hunter since the WCW days. Hunter was a bigger star than CM Punk was before he even married Stephanie McMahon and that is just an undeniable fact. As far as becoming a bigger star after that, of course he was going to become a bigger star after marrying Stephanie because he was in the family now. Look here, if CM Punk would have married Stephanie McMahon, he might have become a bigger star as well.

But, CM Punk was a big star in WWE and they were treating him like he was a big star in WWE. I don’t see how or why anyone could think that CM Punk wasn’t treated like a mega star.”

There is certainly no denying the fact that Triple H will forever remain a legend in the world of professional wrestling, especially because of his contributions to the business as a whole.
