Monday Night RAW
This week’s RAW opens with a recap of the feud between Big E, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
Rollins is backstage and he welcomes us to the show. He says last week Owens connived his way into the title match at Day 1, but tonight Owens is stuck inside a steel cage with Big E and he’ll enjoy every second of them tearing each other apart. And then, at Day 1, we will usher in a new era when he takes his rightful place as WWE Champion.
Big E is backstage as well and he says he’s been to Hell and back to be WWE Champion and tonight will be no different. Tonight there will be no shortcuts or easy way out, and he will punish Kevin Owens. We go live to the arena and the steel cage is already surrounding the ring and out comes Big E.
Steel Cage Match
Kevin Owens Vs. Big E
The match gets underway and Owens immediately tries to escape but Big E grabs him. They trade hands and Owens again goes for the door but gets dragged back. Owens climbs the ropes but Big E knocks him off and he lands squarely on the top rope. Big E punches Owens against the cage wall a few times. Owens knocks him back and starts scaling the cage.
Big E climbs to the second rope and squishes his face against the cage but Owens elbows him down. Owens is on the apron and Big E shoulders him into the cage. Big E runs Owens into the steel a few times but KO eventually suckers him and he bounces off the steel onto the mat.

This time Big E grabs him and Owens turns around to hit a sunset flip bomb for a near-fall. Big E hits a couple of belly-to-belly suplexes but eats a superkick. Owens gets Big E in the corner for a cannonball and a near-fall. Owens applies a Boston crab to Big E and there are no rope breaks here, so Big E crawls towards the door to try and escape. Owens let’s go and struggles to keep Big E inside until Seth Rollins runs over and slams the door into his face!

Seth Rollins is giddy as Big E tries to get Owens up for the Big Ending on the top rope. Owens knocks Big E down and leaps onto him with a frog splash for a near-fall. The announcers run down what to expect from the show. Tonight we’re getting the first matches in an RK-Bro-Nament; a tag team tournament to decide the new number one contenders to RK-Bro.
Queen Zelina and Carmella make their entrance. The fans boo and Vega asks if they’d rather be cheering for a loser like Nikki A.S.H? She says she’s going to put her in her rightful place tonight.

The match gets underway and Zelina takes control early. She beats Nikki against the bottom rope, then chokes her and taunts Ripley. Nikki rolls her up for a two-count. Nikki hits a neckbreaker and attempts a flying crossbody but nobody’s home. Zelina hits Code Red for the win.

RK-Bro is backstage and Riddle is wearing a brown blazer and an earpiece. Riddle asks why Randy isn’t wearing his but they get interrupted for an interview. Riddle says he and Randy were doing a favourite holiday movie bracket when thye came-up with the idea for the RK-Bro-Nament. Orton says that never happened, all he remembers is Riddle talking about how Home Alone changed his life.
Riddle says he and Orton are going to be doing all the interviews for the RK-Bro-Nament tonight. And Randy always tells him to be prepared, so he brought a spare blazer. Orton says no way but Riddle gets the fans cheering and says the voices in his head are telling him to slap it on. Randy asks if he wants it and if the fans want it, then puts the blazer on.
