Banjo-Kazooie will join the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack line-up of N64 games in January.
As Paper Mario joins the service today, Nintendo has announced the next retro classic to come to subscribers – Rare’s 1998 3D platformer.

Rare is, of course, a Microsoft studio these days, and studio head Craig Duncan tweeted to confirm this had been a collaboration with Nintendo. “Always a pleasure to work with our good friends at Nintendo, I’m a big fan of #NintendoSwitchOnline and it’s really important to preserve classic games for future generations to play,” he wrote.
Banjo-Kazooie’s addition to the service will bring the total number of N64 games on Switch to 11. You can check out the full line-up below:
Banjo-Kazooie introduced the adventures of Banjo the honey bear and Kazooie the red gull in 1998 and immediately became an N64 classic. At the time we awarded it a 9.6/10 review, and we’ve since named it the 4th best N64 game of all time.
