Mickie James Says Her Pitches Were Used For Other Talent

By | December 29, 2021

Mickie James is a veteran of the business. She has wrestled for various wrestling promotions including big names like WWE and Impact Wrestling during her 20-year+ career in the industry.

Having a storied career has its share of ups and downs. For Mickie, the lows come in the form of disappointment involved with pitching ideas only to see them get used elsewhere.

The legendary female wrestler spoke to Metro about some frustrations she encountered when her pitches were used for other people.

“There’s been a lot of times where I’ve pitched ideas and they’ve gone to somebody else. Or, I’ve pitched ideas and I thought they were really good, and they – that’s always the most disheartening thing.”

“When you pitch an idea and you know and believe it’s really good and they kind of ho-hum it, or they’ll thumbs down it a bit, but then they used the exact same idea for someone else.”

Mickie is currently signed to Impact Wrestling where she is the promotion’s Knockouts Champion. She also makes sporadic appearances for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Hopefully, she will get credit for all of her ideas from this point on.
