The Buccaneers dominated the Eagles and will advance to the NFC divisional round for the second consecutive year.
With the 31-15 win against Philadelphia, the defending Super Bowl champions will host the divisional round against their next opponent, which they will find out after the completion of the Rams-Cardinals wild-card game on Monday.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 29 of 37 passes for 271 yards with two touchdowns. He helped Tampa Bay secure an early lead with a touchdown on the first drive of the game and stayed on the field throughout the fourth quarter despite the lead.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, on the other hand, had a rough bout against the Buccaneers’ defense. He completed 23 of 43 passes for 258 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The first pick came during Philadelphia’s final scoring opportunity of the first half. Hurts threw a pass intended for wide receiver DeVonta Smith in the end zone, but safety Mike Edwards made the interception to give Tampa Bay possession in the final minute of the half.

Hurts threw another interception during a fourth-down attempt in the third quarter. Linebacker Shaquil Barrett picked off the pass intended for Smith and returned it for 17 yards to position the Buccaneers at the 36. Brady completed a pass to wide receiver Mike Evans who got into the end zone and extended the lead to 31-0.
Philadelphia got some momentum in the fourth quarter and scored two touchdowns with a two-point conversion to cut the deficit 31-15. But by then it was too late for the visitors.
