SmackDown is set to feature Paul Heyman once again aligned with Universal Champion Roman Reigns following the events of the Royal Rumble show. Women’s Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey will make her first ever appearance on SmackDown as she declares who she will challenge at WrestleMania.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins with Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way out to the ring once again accompanied by Paul Heyman as well as The Usos. Heyman says they are here to acknowledge the truth. Heyman says that he deserved what Reigns did to him. Heyman says that Lesnar made the mistake of challenging Reigns instead of accepting his place on Raw. Heyman says that Reigns offered Heyman forgiveness and Heyman handed Reigns the WWE championship belt and allowed Bobby Lahley to defeat Lesnar. Heyman says WrestleMania will not have the champion vs champion match that he wanted. Reigns stands with the title belt when he is interrupted by the music of Goldberg who makes his way to the ring.

Goldberg enters the ring and tells Reigns he acknowledges him…. as his next victim. Goldberg officially challenges Reigns to a Universal Championship match at Elimination Chamber.

Ridge Holland vs Ricochet

Our opening match begins with Holland hitting an uppercut. Holland hits a big body slam and stomps on Ricochet’s hand. Holland avoids a baseball slam outside of the ring and Holland slams Ricochet off the ring apron. Back in the ring Ricochet hits a surprise cutter as Holland gets back in the ring and Ricochet covers for three.

Winner: Ricochet

Sheamus & Ridge Holland vs Ricochet & Cesaro

SmackDown returns with this impromptu tag team match underway. Sheamus and Holland hit the combination Irish curse and elbow drop. Cesaro rolls out of a back drop and tags Ricochet in and Ricochet hits a moonsault and covers for two. Cesaro tags in and hits an uppercut to Sheamus. Cesaro hits a drop kick to Sheamus on the corner and Cesaro goes up top and hits the superplex as Holland makes the blind tag. Holland gets a cover for the three count.

Winners: Sheamus & Ridge Holland

Jimmy Uso vs Erik

The match begins with Erik hitting an overhead suplex. Erik slams Jimmy and covers for two. Erik hits a knee strike and goes up top but Jey Uso causes a distraction. Jimmy hits a superkick and goes up top to hit the Uso splash and cover for three.

Winner: Jimmy Uso

Aliyah vs Natalya

The match begins with Aliyah going for a quick roll up for a two count. Natalya slams Aliyah to the corner face first and hits a knee to the mid section. Aliyah hits a huricanrana and follows with a face buster and Aliyah covers for two. Natalya hits a discus lariat and the match spills to the outside. Natalya beats down Aliyah on the barricade. Aliyah slips by Natalya and into the ring as the ref finishes the 10 count to end the match via count out.

Winner: Aliyah

Drew McIntyre makes his way out to the ring for his first SmackDown appearance since his in ring return at Royal Rumble. McIntyre says that it feels good to be back. McIntyre says that a doctor told him he wouldn’t be able to make it to Royal Rumble. McIntyre worked as hard as he could to rehab and make it back. McIntyre says his focus right now is all on Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss. Immediately following this, Corbin makes his way out. Corbin says it was a miracle for McIntyre to return, but Corbin asks if it was all worth it to end up a failure. Madcap moss tries to sneak up on McIntyre in the ring but McIntyre points his sword right in Moss’ face and turns around and demands Moss tell a joke. McIntyre specifically asks for Moss to make a joke about him. Moss tells a joke and Corbin laughs at the top of the ramp and McIntyre laughs too and them drops Moss with a Claymore.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jinder Mahal

Before the match begins, Sami Zayn makes his way out to the ring and joins on commentary.

The match officially begins with Nakamura hitting a heel kick and a sliding kick. Nakamura hits a sliding German suplex and Mahal dodges the Kinshasa attempt. Mahal locks in a head lock on the mat and Nakamura gets to his feet and hits a drop kick Nakamura hits the Kinshasa and covers for three.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Big E & Kofi Kingston vs Los Lotharios

The match begins with Big E and Kingston hitting a serious of double team moves including a leap frog leg drop from Kingston. Humberto tags in and Big E hits a shoulder tackle and tags in Kingston. Kingston goes up top but Angel causes the distraction and Humberto hits a punch from behind to take down Kingston. Humberto hits a cheap shot drop kick to knock Big E off the apron.

Back live with Angel hitting a leg drop to the back of Kingston’s head and Humberto tags in. Humberto hits a back suplex and covers for two. Humberto goes up top but Kingston counters the moonsault and crawls to the corner to tag in Big E as Angel is tagged in. Big E hits a belly to belly suplex and hits the running splash. Angel counters the big ending with a back stabber. Kingston tags in and Angel gets a roll up for two. Humberto tags in and hits the missile drop kick and covers for a dramatic two count. Angel hits a super kick and Big E makes the blind tag and hits the big ending and covers for three.

Winners: Big E & Kofi Kingston

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way out to the ring in preparation for the upcoming appearance from Ronda Rousey.

Back live with Sonya Deville in the ring along with Charlotte Flair. Deville says that she has been informed that Ronda Rousey has chosen Becky Lynch for her WrestleMania opponent and Deville says Charlotte will get to name her challenger. Charlotte says she has become the most dominant champion in WWE while Rousey has been away. Charlotte says she has never been better and she’s not surprised that Rousey chose to face Lynch instead of her. Charlotte says that she will pick somebody who isn’t even there tonight, and Charlotte says she picks Sasha Banks. Ronda Rousey’s music hits and Rousey walks out to the ring. Rousey says that she’ll see Charlotte at WrestleMania. Sonya Deville tries to attack Rousey as Charlotte leaves the ring but Rousey counters and puts Deville in an armbar. SmackDown goes off the air with Charlotte and Rousey staring down across the ramp.
