WWE Reaches Out To Former ROH Women’s Champion

By | February 11, 2022

Ring of Honor (ROH) may have ceased production for the time being. That doesn’t mean other wrestling promotions have closed the door on ROH talent. As a matter of fact, many performers previously associated with the promotion are now working in Impact Wrestling and AEW.

Speaking of ROH performers, WWE have reportedly reached out to a former ROH women’s champion in the hopes of signing. According to Dave Meltzer, the company has offered a deal to Rok-C.

The 20-year-old tried out for WWE at their camp. Rok-C had also participated in the tryout camp back in December. Her efforts seems to have yielded this time, though it remains to be seen whether she has signed the contract.

Roc-C (real name Carla Gonzalez) trained under the tutelage of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T at his Reality of Wrestling school. She was 16 at the time of her training.

She defeated Miranda Alize at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor 2021, becoming the promotion’s inaugural women’s champion in the process. She defended the title eight times before losing it to Impact Wrestling’s Deonna Purrazzo last month.
