By | February 23, 2022

Cody Rhodes is expected to show up in WWE any time soon. Cody was instrumental in bringing All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to life and served as its Executive Vice President.

During Tuesday’s episode of We’re Live, Pal, Dave Meltzer noted that he received a brief message from Cody after the news broke out that he and wife Brandi Rhodes are leaving AEW.

While Cody had nothing bad to say about the company, Meltzer said the former TNT champion was unhappy about some things that ultimately led to his exit from Tony Khan’s wrestling promotion.

Cody felt that it was “time to leave the territory.” The 36-year-old was recently spotted in Florida, the home of WWE’s Performance Center, where he was expected to begins shooting content for his imminent WWE return.

Cody Rhodes surprised the pro wrestling world when he left AEW. Now he will embark on his next journey, one that will seemingly see him circle back around to Vince McMahon’s company as a proven draw.
