Ring of Honor (ROH) is all elite. Yes, you head that right. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan revealed that he’s bought the Baltimore-based wrestling promotion. The era of honor will now begin in AEW.

Tony opened Wednesday Night Dynamite. Khan said he had a huge announcement to make. He talked about starting AEW in 2019 and namedropped ROH during his promo.

Khan typically does not appear on television when he hypes up an announcement. Tony has tried to remain off-camera during Dynamite, Rampage, and pay-per-views. This was only the second time that Khan has appeared live on Dynamite in any capacity.

Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio today where he delivered the news. Tony will walk to the ring and make the announcement personally. AEW fans know just how rare that is.

We have no idea exactly what this means, but we’re guessing that AEW’s promos are going to start including a lot of ROH footage now. Keep checking with Ringside News for updates!
