Cody Rhodes Responds To Tay Conti Asking Him To Make AEW Return

By | March 10, 2022

Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes are no longer with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The husband and wife duo parted ways with the Jacksonville-based promotion last month, but that doesn’t mean their bond with former colleagues has died out.

Tay Conti recently took to social media to ask Cody and Brandi about their return to Tony Khan’s promotion. The Brazilian wrestler said the two left all the haters to her and Sammy Guevara.

Hey @CodyRhodes @TheBrandiRhodes when y’all coming back ? You left all the haters to me and @sammyguevara huh ?!!

Cody responded with words of wisdom for the young star. He asked Tay to continue putting in the effort and smile while doing so. He ended his message by showing appreciation to fans and the sport itself.

Mediocrity loves company, and when you’re underrated everybody is your friend Just do the work(like y’all do) wear the crown and smile It’s still the best sport, the best fans, and ultimately it’s all worth it

It is unknown if Cody will show up to work WrestleMania 38. The former TNT champion was in talks with his former employer but the negotiations reportedly fizzled out.

Fightful Select recently reported that WWE pitched Seth Rollins to be Cody’s opponent at the Show of Shows, but the match is still up in the air as the former AEW star is still considering his options.
