WWE’s Current Plan For Steve Austin After WrestleMania 38

By | March 30, 2022

WrestleMania 38 will see “Stone Cold” Steve Austin return to WWE, but there are eleven other months out of the year when WWE could really use a name like his.

As fans and commentators talk about WrestleMania, they have often uttered the phrase that “Steve Austin is back.” The big question is, ‘what does that mean?’ We poked around to see if there is anything else planned past the Kevin Owens Show at WrestleMania, and we have the latest information.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that WrestleMania 38 is planned to be a one-off appearance for the Texas Rattlesnake. We were told Austin’s involvement is a, “One time deal. As of now.”

Vince McMahon wants Steve Austin to come back for more, but the WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t agreed to that just yet. The original hope was that they could get an actual match out of Austin at WrestleMania, but they are going to take what they can get.

The door is always open for Steve Austin’s WWE return. We were told that Austin simply “doesn’t like to leave the house,” and who could blame him? He has plenty of projects to keep him busy without leaving his home. The important thing is that he will be in Dallas for the show of shows this year.
