USFL schedule Week 4: What football games are on today? TV channels, times, scores

By | May 7, 2022

Week 4 of the USFL kicks off Friday, with a pair of 1-2 teams squaring off in the Philadelphia Stars and the Michigan Panthers. Jeff Fisher and the Panthers are looking to build a winning streak off last week’s win over the Maulers, while the Stars lick their wounds and wait to see if quarterback Bryan Scott is able to play.

In the rest of the weekend, the Birmingham Stallions will put their undefeated record on the line against the 2-1 Tampa Bay Bandits, and the New Orleans Breakers will try to bounce back from their first loss of the season against the Houston Gamblers.

The Pittsburgh Maulers are now the USFL’s only winless team, and their life won’t be getting easier Saturday afternoon against the New Jersey Generals.

Here’s how to watch Week 4’s USFL game on Friday:

Stars vs. Panthers

The Philadelphia Stars and Michigan Panthers are both looking for their second wins of the season after Michigan notched its first W last week against the Pittsburgh Maulers. The Panthers have struggled under Jeff Fisher, but a dominant 24-0 win over the struggling Maulers could be them righting the ship. Philadelphia, meanwhile, could be without top quarterback Bryan Scott after he suffered a knee injury last week. Philadelphia likely goes where Scott goes, so his injury is worth monitoring.

Here’s how to watch every USFL game that will be played on Saturday.

Generals vs. Maulers

  • Kickoff: 2:30 p.m. ET
  • Live stream: Peacock

Bandits vs. Stallions

In the early game of Saturday’s doubleheader, the Pittsburgh Maulers will be trying to hang with the New Jersey Generals. Pittsburgh has been outscored 71-26 through three weeks, so it’s been tough sledding in Birmingham. It won’t get any easier, as New Jersey tries to build on a two-game winning streak from the top of the North Division. The staunch defense and relentless running game of the Generals is a tough matchup for the Maulers.

The hometown Stallions are currently the only undefeated team in the league, as they look for their fourth straight win. The Stallions got a huge victory last week against the Breakers in a battle of 2-0 teams, and they’ll look to carry that momentum against the 2-1 Bandits. Although a low-scoring team, Tampa Bay seems to have the pieces in place — it just hasn’t assembled them properly yet.

Gamblers at Breakers

Rounding out the weekend will be the Houston Gamblers and the New Orleans Breakers. Despite last week’s loss to the Stallions, the Breakers are one of the most threatening teams in the league. Turnovers remain an issue for New Orleans, with multiple giveaways costing it a fourth-quarter lead against Birmingham last week. Houston is trying to get its defense in order, as the Gamblers have allowed the most points in the league through Week 3.
