Joey Janela Sets Foot On Fire In Epic Botch During GCW Pay-Per-View

By | May 22, 2022

Joey Janela is no longer with AEW after his contract expired, but he is far from finished with pro wrestling. He competed again last night, but the results were not what he had in mind at all.

The Bad Boy took on Drew Parker at GCW’s pay-per-view on Saturday night. That May 21st match included one spot that was probably not thought out enough.

Janela set his boot on fire and proceeded to hit Parker with a Flaming Superkick. He might have supposed that the flame would go out thanks to the power of his kick, but that was not the case at all.

Joey Janela was left with a flaming foot and the fire wouldn’t go out. He scrambled to get his boot off as a referee threw water on the fire. Other water bottles were tossed in the ring to help out, but Janela still ended up burning himself.

It seems that he is okay now, but the extent of his burns was not disclosed. Janela posted a photo of his foot, still on fire, from the hotel room after the show. Apparently, he’s still having a problem with his fire starter limbs.
