Coco Gauff and Martina Trevisan will face each other in the semifinals of the French Open with a place in the final against Iga Swiatek the prize for the winner.
Swiatek was dominant in her 6-2, 6-1 win over Daria Kasatkina in the final four and will be the favourite to win a second Grand Slam title no matter which player comes through the second semifinal.
However, the 2022 French Open has been a breakthrough tournament for Gauff who made a Grand Slam semifinal for the first time in her young career with a win over Sloane Stephens.
Gauff has also seen off Eilse Mertens and Kaia Kanepi as she has made an impressive run to the semifinals at Roland Garros.

Martina Trevisan vs. Coco Gauff live commentary
TREVISAN 1-1 GAUFF* (3-6): Finally, Trevisan holds serve, and holds serve to love! The Italian would do well to draw Gauff to the net more often because the American’s touch has been off in this match so far.
*TREVISAN 0-1 GAUFF (3-6): Gauff looks very comfortable at the start of the second set. Trevisan had a medical timeout at the end of the first set. The Italian now has some pretty heavy strapping on her right thigh. Is that a serious concern?
FIRST SET, GAUFF! TREVISAN 3-6 GAUFF: Another messy service game from Trevisan and Gauff clinches the first set, her 11th set in-a-row! This has been a strange match so far. There’s been no pattern and plenty of errors, but the American has edged it.
.@CocoGauff converts 4 of 6 break point chances and wins the first set 6-3 against Trevisan!

*TREVISAN 3-5 GAUFF: Gauff holds! There was a fortunate net cord for the American at 30-15, but she was in control for the majority of that service game and Trevisan will now serve to stay in the opening set.
TREVISAN 3-4 GAUFF*: Fifth break in-a-row! Gauff breaks to love and edges ahead once again in this opening set. There has been no pattern to this match so far.
*TREVISAN 3-3 GAUFF: Yet another break! A fourth break in-a-row! This has been an erratic match so far. Both Trevisan and Gauff are making errors, but also finding some good ball-striking as well. On top of this, there has been a lot of discussion with the umpire over line calls. Distractions!
TREVISAN 2-3 GAUFF*: Another break! Trevisan is trying to take the match to Gauff, but the unforced errors were too frequent in that game and that allowed Gauff to break. Three successive breaks now!

*TREVISAN 2-2 GAUFF: Break back! There was a lot of tension in that service game from Gauff. The key moment came when the American challenged a line call and lost the point at 30-30. Trevisan made the most of the chance to break. Level again.
TREVISAN 1-2 GAUFF*: Break! That was a gift of a game from Trevisan who threw in two double faults as Gauff broke for the first time in the match. Both players look to be struggling with their nerves!
*TREVISAN 1-1 GAUFF: Trevisan had a break point in her first returning game of the match just as Gauff did, and just like Gauff she couldn’t take it. That was a real opportunity for the Italian to take a grip of this match. Gauff looks nervous early on!
TREVISAN 1-0 GAUFF*: Trevisan has to face a break point in the opening game of the match, but she saves it and makes good use of her serve to hold and get on the scoreboard early in the first set.
READY, PLAY! Trevisan to serve first. Some empty seats on Court Philippe Chatrier as fans take a break after Iga Swiatek’s semifinal win, but this should come to the boil nicely!
15:45: The two players are on court out on Court Philippe Chatrier. Is Gauff the favourite to win this one? This is the biggest match of her young career so far.
