Is Arch Manning the best quarterback in the family? If high school stats are any indication, he might be on his way toward staking that claim.
According to ESPN, Manning, the Isidore Newman quarterback, surpassed two career high school records on Friday held by his uncles: Eli Manning’s passing yards record and Peyton Manning’s passing touchdown record.
During the contest, Arch Manning passed for 356 yards and seven touchdowns, while completing 17-of-28 passes in a 52-22 win against Pearl River.

Arch Manning stats
Both Eli and Peyton Manning went to the same high school as their nephew, Arch Manning, Cooper Manning’s son, and set a pair of records during their time there. Eli Manning set the record for passing yards at 7,268. Peyton Manning had the passing touchdown record at 93.
Entering Friday’s game, Arch Manning was 110 yards shy of surpassing Eli Manning’s passing yardage record and one touchdown of passing Peyton Manning’s touchdown mark.
With the strong performance, Arch Manning pushed his career passing totals to 7,484 passing yards and 100 touchdowns, according to the New York Post.

Where is Arch Manning going to college?
Eli and Peyton Manning won’t have to worry about any records they have at Ole Miss and Tennessee, respectively, being broken.

In going to play for Texas, Arch Manning is giving the Longhorns a pipeline of consensus No. 1 recruits. He is likely to be the second-string quarterback as a true freshman behind Quinn Ewers, the No. 1 recruit in the 2021 class.
Ewers is in his first year starting at Texas after transferring from Ohio State. Ewers had been off to a solid start to his collegiate career, passing for 359 yards with two touchdowns and a pick after his first game, and played well against No. 1 Alabama, but was injured in the first quarter and had to leave the game. He expects to return for the team’s Oct. 8 game against Oklahoma.
