Liverpool’s path to the Champions League round of 16 requires a point at Ajax to complete the job with a game to spare.
That would seem a more straightforward challenge had last season’s finalists not shown such dismal form away from Anfield this campaign, losing four games and drawing twice either side of their 7-1 thrashing of Rangers at Ibrox.
Four points clear at the top of the Dutch Eredivisie after winning their last two matches by an aggregate scoreline of 11-2, Ajax must win and hope Liverpool lose at home to Napoli on the final Champions League matchday to have a chance of finishing in the top two of Group A.
Here’s how to watch the final game at the Johan Cruyff Arena of this season’s group stage, as well as the latest team news and betting odds.

Ajax vs. Liverpool predicted lineups
Turkey youth centre-back Ahmetcan Kaplan is out for Ajax with a knee injury, while full-back Devyne Rensch and midfielder Kenneth Taylor are also doubts.
If they feature, Edson Alvarez and Jurrien Timber must avoid bookings to ensure they are not banned for Ajax’s final game of the group stage at Rangers on November 1.
Ajax predicted lineup (4-3-3): Pasveer — Sanchez, Timber, Bassey, Blind — Berghuis, Alvarez, Klaassen — Tadic, Brobbey, Bergwijn
Attackers Diogo Jota (calf), Luis DÃaz (knee) and midfielder Arthur Melo (thigh) are long-term absentees for Liverpool. Defender Joel Matip is out with a calf injury.
Naby Keita has returned to training and fellow midfielder Thiago Alcantara is a doubt with an ear infection, as are defender Ibrahima Konate and forward Darwin Nunez, both of whom have muscle injuries.
Liverpool predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Alisson (GK) — Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson — Fabinho, Henderson — Elliott, Firmino, Carvalho — Salah

Ajax vs. Liverpool betting odds
Just when there was talk of Liverpool turning a corner courtesy of successive home wins, their 1-0 defeat at Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest on Saturday showed that the Reds remain an unreliable bet on their travels.
Liverpool needed an 89th-minute Matip winner to beat Ajax 2-1 in these sides’ first meeting of the season. Ajax have shown more of their flaws since then, following up a surprisingly disastrous 6-1 home mauling by Napoli with a 4-2 defeat in Naples.
