LeBron James is a man of many talents, but Photoshop might not be his thing.
Earlier this week, the Lakers traveled to Sacramento to take on the Kings. James shared an image on Instagram before the game of him shooting around at the Golden 1 Center with the caption, “The Man In The Arena- đź‘‘ 📸 captured by @mikemancias1 in the cut.”
Nothing else to see, right? Not quite.
Zoom in closer, and you’ll notice that instead of the advertisement at the top saying “Kings,” the “s” appears to have been scrubbed out.
Many were quick to take notice.
LeBron crossing out the S in “Kings” for his Instagram post is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen pic.twitter.com/c1NpVDKbt2

Why would James do that? Probably because his nickname has long been King James, not, you know, Kings James, but the internet still had a lot of fun with it.
Some of the nicknames Reddit gave him:
- LeDitor
- LePhotoshop
- LePaint
- Light the LeBeam
Twitter also had jokes:
wait… this is kinda cold lol pic.twitter.com/dywPGm1F7Z

“And that video board that wraps around the upper section of seats just said, which is crazy, cause that’s my nickname. I just felt very honored by that display.” pic.twitter.com/mUNEK3YPVu

No way this man has all that money and couldn’t even get a graphic designer to do this lol. He just did it on his own phone

If you were wondering what happened in the actual game, James finished with 31 points and 11 assists, but the Anthony Davis-less Lakers lost by 14 points to fall to 13-18 on the season.
Tough look for the King.
