The fan-favorite John Wick film series is the most eye-catching addition to the HBO Max schedule for December 26-January 1.
The original trilogy — John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum — is finally coming to HBO Max on Sunday, January 1. Released in 2014, the first installment introduced The Matrix alum Keanu Reeves as the titular hero. The action thriller movie follows a lethal hitman who opts to get out of the killing game before someone kills his beloved dog. The sequels expanded the John Wick world and introduced new characters and challenges for the protagonist. Overall, the trilogy grossed over $584 million at the box office. A sequel titled John Wick: Chapter 4 is slated to debut on March 24, 2023.
