In the second quarter of Sunday’s wild card showdown between the Bills and Dolphins, Josh Allen heaved a pass deep right intended for John Brown. Instead, it ended up in the arms of Miami cornerback Xavien Howard.
Presumably a little frustrated by the interception, Allen made the interesting choice to take some of his anger out on Miami’s 6-4, 310-pound nose tackle Christian Wilkins. Wilkins responded with a shove of his own, and a scuffle between the two teams soon broke out after center Mitch Morse came to his quarterback’s defense.

Allen quickly got up and left the ruckus after the play was blown dead, but dozens of players from both teams came in and got themselves involved.
Wilkins was shoved to the ground by a combination of Morse and fellow Bills offensive lineman Spencer Brown, which prompted several Dolphins to enter the fray.
After the play was over, the officials called offsetting personal fouls on both teams. Miami kept possession at the spot where Howard was ultimately dragged down.
Here’s another look at the shove from Allen that started the tussle:

It looks like he shoved Wilkins in his immediate frustration, then quickly thought better of picking a fight and got out of there before things escalated too much.
Miami ended up getting a field goal out of the ensuing drive to cut into Buffalo’s lead and kept coming, entering halftime down 20-17 after facing a 17-0 hole to start the game.
