Super Bowl 2023 live score: Eagles vs. Chiefs updates, highlights, results from Arizona

After a long two weeks, Super Bowl Sunday is here. Two teams that finished at the top of their conference will play for the Lombardi trophy, and there’s no shortage of storylines as the Chiefs and Eagles prepare to face off.

For the first time, two brothers will face each other on the field in a Super Bowl. Future Hall of Famers Travis Kelce of the Chiefs and Jason Kelce of the Eagles are both aiming to win a second championship, but only one will come out on top.

On the sidelines, Kansas City coach Andy Reid is facing the team he coached for 14 years in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will make this the first Super Bowl with two Black starting quarterbacks.

Mahomes is hoping to avenge the disappointing finishes of the last two seasons and become the 13th quarterback to win multiple Super Bowls.

Hurts is just starting to build his own legacy after the first two playoff wins of his career, and he can quiet any doubters still left by winning a Super Bowl at age 24. 

Unlike last season’s Bengals-Rams matchup, these are two teams that have been at a championship level in the past decade. The Eagles won their first Super Bowl five years ago, albeit with a different quarterback and head coach, while the Chiefs claimed their first title in 50 years when they won Super Bowl 54 three years ago.

4:10 p.m. — Mahomes is out on the turf in Glendale for pregame warmups. 

3:58 p.m. — Here’s a look at the official Super Bowl 57 coin that will be used in tonight’s coin toss. There will be a lot riding on that, not only for the teams on the field but also for prop bettors around the country.

3:25 p.m. — He may have dedicated his life to football, but Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni used a basketball analogy when asked about how he’s been keeping his team focused in the build up to this game.

3:20 p.m. — Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have officially arrived at the stadium.

2:56 p.m. — Tonight’s venue has been the site of plenty of memorable moments in sports through the years.

2:41 p.m. — Here’s an early look at the scene inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ari. Pretty soon, fans will be filing into those seats. 

2:23 p.m. — FOX’s Peter Schrager sheds some light on what Andy Reid said in his pep talk last night. His players are sure to come out fired up today.

1:53 p.m. — Could this be Andy Reid’s last game as a head coach? According to FOX’s Jay Glazer, he hasn’t ruled anything out. 

1:36 p.m. — On FOX’s pregame coverage, Peter Schrager reports Patrick Mahomes’ ankle is in the best shape it’s been in since he sprained it against the Jaguars in the divisional round. He’s been playing through the injury since it happened, but hasn’t looked quite at 100 percent. 

In other injury news, Kadarius Toney, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Willie Gay will all be suiting up tonight after managing injuries throughout the past couple weeks.

1:29 p.m. — According to Brian McCarthy of the NFL’s PR office, the plan is for the roof at State Farm Stadium to be open tonight. It’s supposed to be a beautiful night in the desert, so it shouldn’t affect the game too much. 

1:21 p.m. — It’s already been a momentous day in the life of Chiefs offensive lineman Nick Allegretti. His wife, Christina, delivered healthy twin girls early this morning in Chicago. Nick and his parents were able to FaceTime her from the team hotel. He’ll have two new family members to return home to after tonight.  

1:14 p.m. — Here’s an interesting stat: league MVP winners who have played in the Super Bowl have come out on the losing side nine times in a row. Can Mahomes buck that trend tonight?

12:59 p.m. — To her credit, it looks like Donna Kelce (mother of Travis and Jason) is doing everything in her power not to pick sides today…

Super Bowl 57 between the Chiefs and Eagles is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. local time) in Glendale, Ariz.

6:30 p.m. ET has become the standard start time for Super Bowls and is preceded by performances of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” “America the Beautiful,” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” 

Before the ceremonies begin, Fox will air a Super Bowl 57 pregame show beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

Super Bowl 57 will be broadcast on Fox, with Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play) and Greg Olsen (color analyst). It will be the first Super Bowl in the broadcast booth for Burkhardt and Olsen, who stepped up to the No. 1 slot when Joe Buck and Troy Aikman left Fox for ESPN last year.

Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will serve as the sideline reporters for Super Bowl 57, with Mike Pereira adding commentary as the broadcast’s officiating expert.

Pregame and postgame duties will be handled by Fox’s longtime studio team, including Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Jimmy Johnson. The group will be joined by former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Bradshaw will present the Lombardi Trophy to the winning team shortly after the game ends.
