What channel is the NFL Draft on today? Start times, TV schedule for Day 1, Day 2 & Day 3 in 2023

By | April 27, 2023

The highlight of the NFL offseason has arrived.

From basically the end of the previous year’s draft until the official start of the next, everyone is trying to guess and predict what will happen in the NFL Draft. Each pass thrown during the college season, each sack, each standout catch works to make a clearer picture of what will happen in the draft.

The 2023 NFL Draft isn’t going to be overly easy to figure out. There are a clear top two quarterbacks that appear to go off the board early in Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud, and a defensive player in Will Anderson who should be the first non-QB off the board. But from there, the draft could have some twists and turns. How high will Anthony Richardson go? Will Jalen Carter’s off-field concerns tank his draft stock?

In certain years, positions like quarterback, wide receiver and EDGE are the top positions in a class. This year, the clear top spots are tight end and running back, which should make for an interesting draft given the two positions are typically viewed as bad early round value.

What will this year’s NFL draft look like? Here’s what you need to know to watch the 2023 NFL Draft.

What channel is the NFL Draft on today?

The 2023 NFL Draft will be carried by three different networks, with ESPN and ABC carrying two broadcasts over the first two days, and a simulcast on the third, and the NFL Network carrying its own from Kansas City.

NFL Network

The NFL Network will have plenty of coverage throughout the NFL draft weekend, with a full slate of analysts and broadcasters on for each day of the draft.

Day 1: The first round of the NFL draft will see Rich Eisen hosting a panel that includes Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis and Joel Klatt at the main set. Kurt Warner and Ian Rapoport will be on the theater set, and Melissa Stark will be interviewing players from the stage after they are picked.

Day 2: The second day of the draft will feature Eisen, Jeremiah, Davis and Klatt returning to the main set and Stark reporting from the stage. Peter Schrager will replace Warner alongside Rapoport on the theater set.

Suzy Kolber will be interviewing prospects after they are drafted.

Day 3: The last day of ESPN’s draft coverage will see Rece Davis host Kiper, Todd McShay and Riddick for the final four rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Like the NFL Network, ESPN will have reporters at five different locations. Here are the five assignments:

  • Sal Paolantonio — Carolina Panthers
  • Ed Werder — Houston Texans
  • Dianna Russini — Indianapolis Colts
  • Jeff Darlington — Seattle Seahawks
  • Kimberley A. Martin — Detroit Lions

ABC

Robert Griffin III and Sam Ponder will be on a second set, with Laura Rutledge in the green room and Pete Thamel reporting on the latest news. David Pollack will join the ABC set on Friday.

Day 3: ESPN and ABC will have a simulcast of Saturday’s coverage, with the panel of Davis, Kiper, McShay and Riddick on both channels.
