The PGA Championship heads north this spring, as golf’s biggest names descend on Oak Hill Country Club in upstate New York for the second major of the year.
Fans can only home this year’s tournament is as exciting as last year’s. Justin Thomas outlasted Will Zalatoris in a playoff, capturing his second PGA Championship victory and second major title. This year’s event offers an opportunity for some golfers to add onto their legacies and for others to carve out a name for themselves.
That journey begins on Thursday. Golfers will have a chance to feel out the course on the opening day of the tournament, but the first round also represents a chance to gain an early advantage ahead of the high-pressure moments that lie ahead.
