Dogmeat is headed to Magic: Gathering. Wizards of the Coast has revealed a host of new cards for its upcoming Magic: The Gathering – Fallout collection, which includes four new Commander decks featuring familiar characters, enemies, and abilities from Bethesda’s RPG series.
Not surprisingly, Fallout: New Vegas has a very large presence, with Mr. House and Ceasar both appearing in the set. Both are prominent antagonists (or allies) in Obsidian’s RPG, which is considered to be among the best of the modern Fallout games.
Caesar is one of a handful of character serving as a leader for the set’s various decks, which are themed around technology, the military, survival, and mutants. Dogmeat, Dr. Madison Li, and Mothman round out the collection of Commanders, who are designed to enable and augment the various decks. So if you want to command pre-war robots, you probably want to build around Dr. Li, while Dogmeat is useful for getting Aura and Equipment cards in your hand.
Magic: The Gathering has lately embraced popular licenses for it game, releasing sets based on franchises like Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who. A unique version of the One Ring card fetched bounty worth a cool $2 million earlier this year.
In addition to the card reveal, Wizards of the Coast confirmed the release date for the new Magic: The Gathering set, revealing that it will be available on March 8, 2024.
As for Fallout, it’s likely to be quite a long time before we get another game in the series, but you can find similar vibes in the recently-released Starfield. Check out our complete Starfield walkthrough for more.
