What channel is Iowa vs. LSU on today? Time, TV schedule to watch women’s NCAA Elite Eight game

By | April 1, 2024

Just under 10 million people tuned into LSU and Iowa’s NCAA national championship matchup last year, making it the most viewed women’s college basketball game ever.

The same teams have a chance to break that record, this time in the Elite Eight of the 2024 tournament.

Flau’jae Johnson and Angel Reese both collected double-doubles in the Tigers’ Sweet 16 victory against UCLA, combining for 40 points and 23 rebounds. Reese also grabbed four of LSU’s 11 steals in the 78-69 win.

Caitlin Clark dominated in Iowa’s 21-point Sweet 16 win against Colorado with a double-double of 29 points and 15 assists. Hannah Stuelke managed underneath the basket with 10 rebounds on top of her 11 points, adding to the team’s 46 in the paint in the 89-68 victory.

No. 1 and No. 3 seeds, respectively, Iowa and LSU have played a total of four times, the series tied at 2-2. The Tigers beat the Hawkeyes in last year’s championship, 102-85, winning the school’s first national title.

This is LSU’s third year under coach Kim Mulkey and its third consecutive tournament appearance. Iowa has appeared in four Sweet 16s in the last five tournaments, excluding 2020’s canceled go-around.

Here’s what you need to know about Monday’s matchup between Iowa and LSU, including broadcast information and start time.

The NCAA women’s tournament game between Iowa and LSU is set to tip off at 7:15 p.m. ET from MVP Arena in Albany, N.Y.

The Hawkeyes powered through Holy Cross in the first round, 91-65, and then faced a strong West Virginia team in the second round. Though the final score of 64-54 doesn’t indicate it, the Mountaineers presented a challenge for Iowa, refusing to make it easy for the Hawkeyes until the very end.

LSU stayed poised through both its first and second round games, beating Rice, 70-60, before taking on Middle Tennessee in a dominant, 83-56 victory. Both teams didn’t face seeded opponents until the Sweet 16, undoubtedly with their most difficult matchup of the tournament in store for Monday.
