As is a rite every June, all eyes are set to descend upon Omaha, Nebraska, as the Men’s College World Series kicks off on Friday, June 14.
Eight teams are left vying for the title: four squads from the SEC, and four from the ACC.
Behind its high-powered offense, Tennessee is looking to become the first No. 1 overall seed to win the national title since Miami in 1999. The Volunteers are joined in Omaha by four other top-eight seeds, including No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Texas A&M, and No. 4 North Carolina.
Florida is the only unseeded team remaining in the field, but the Gators aren’t your typical underdog. Two-way phenom Jac Caglianone and company fell just one win shy of a title last year, losing to LSU in the 2023 CWS finals.
