With some extra time on their hands as they enjoy a month-plus break before the start of training camp in July, the Las Vegas Raiders should be exploring ways to improve their roster, which still has some question marks on both sides of the ball.
One avenue to do that is in free agency, where general manager Tom Telesco has plenty of money to work with. According to Over the Cap, the Raiders are sitting pretty with $34.09 million in cap space, the fifth-highest total in the NFL.
That number made a big jump after June 1, when the money saved from cutting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was freed up. Now, there is no price too expensive for the Raiders if they choose to add one or more players in free agency.
With a little less than one month to go before camp, here’s a full breakdown of the Raiders’ salary cap, including the team’s biggest cap hits, positional spending and rankings, and more. Salary cap figures are courtesy of Over the Cap, with the exception of the special teams figures, which are from Spotrac.
