Josh Allen’s MVP case has only grown stronger.
During the first half of Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, Allen officially passed Jim Kelly for the most touchdowns in Bills history when he linked up with Mack Hollins for a seven-yard score.
Kelly threw for 237 passing touchdowns and rushed for seven during his 11-year Hall of Fame career in Buffalo, doing so in 106 games. Allen, meanwhile, scored his 245th touchdown in exactly 54 fewer games.

Sitting second in EPA per play to Lamar Jackson, Allen is enjoying a career-best year with over 2,500 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just five interceptions to his name heading into Sunday’s game.
Overall, he’s now thrown for 186, rushed for 58, and reeled in one receiving touchdown at the midway point of Sunday’s game at Orchard Park.
With the Bills firmly in the driver’s seat to lock up a top-two seed in the AFC, Allen’s accomplishment is made only more impressive when you consider he’s just 28 years old.

Announcing he’s now engaged to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld over the weekend, Allen’s year could perhaps only be made better by steering the Bills to their first Super Bowl, capping off what has arguably been one of Buffalo’s best seasons over the last two decades.
