Now that former Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be officially released by the New York Jets, it remains to be seen how many teams and which teams will be seriously interested in the four-time NFL MVP.
He was initially linked to the Los Angeles Rams, but that ship sailed when they decided to keep Matthew Stafford around instead of trading him. The New York Giants then emerged as an option after it was reported that Rodgers had reached out to them and that they may be interested in him.
Earlier this week, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby said that he would love to see Rodgers come to his team. Now, one NFL insider has reported that the Raiders would indeed be an option for the future Hall of Famer — if he would fit into the offensive system new head coach Pete Carroll and new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will implement.

Rodgers has become infamous in recent years for passive-aggressively wielding his power on and off the field, which includes his penchant for determining which plays will be run. That would be something the Raiders’ new coaching staff will have to consider when deciding whether to go after him.
While his production fell off in 2024, he still threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is 41 years of age, and experts seem split on whether he has enough left in the tank for a strong campaign this fall and winter.
It is widely thought that wherever Rodgers ends up, he will bring fellow former Packers star Davante Adams with him. Adams was just released by the Jets, and although he too is up there in age, he remains a legitimate threat at the wide receiver position, which is something Las Vegas needs.
