Matt Cardona Threatens Legal Action Against Shotzi Blackheart Over “Indy God” Claim

By | June 10, 2025

Matt Cardona takes himself very seriously as the biggest star in the independent circuit, as he calls himself the “Indy God.” However, Cardona has a major issue with Shotzi Blackheart calling herself the “Indy God” now and it appears Cardona has threatened legal action against Blackheart.

The man who’s “Alwayz Ready” took to Twitter and responded to Shotzi Blackheart calling herself the “Indy God.” He said she has 24 hours to say sorry and remove any posts where she calls herself the “Indy God” or “Death Match King.”

Cardona said he’s the one known for both titles and that everyone, even the U.S., sees him that way. He also warned her that he doesn’t want to get his lawyer involved but he will if he has to. He also included the trademarks of both “Indy God” and “Death Match King.”

“@ShotziWWE has 24 hours to publicly apologize to me and take down all posts referring to herself as Indy God and Death Match King. The United States of America recognizes ME as BOTH! I don’t want to send @gimmickattorney after you…but I will!”

This comes after Matt Cardona made it clear he wanted fans to chant “We Want Shotzi” just so that she could get away from the independent circuit. Therefore, fans are waiting to see how Blackheart will respond to Cardona’s threat.

Matt Cardona’s image as the “Indy God” is a big part of who he is, and he’s made it clear he won’t let others, especially Shotzi Blackheart, use that nickname without a fight. With the threat of legal action hanging in the air, we’ll have to see if Blackheart will listen to Cardona’s ultimatum.

Do you think Shotzi Blackheart has a right to call herself the new “Indy God,” or is Matt Cardona right to defend his brand? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
