
In September, Broken Arrow (Okla.) handed Mustang a non-district defeat, with the Tigers prevailing 21-14.
Friday night, the Broncos return to Broken Arrow, this time not only seeking revenge but also determined to earn a spot in the Class 6A-I state semifinals next week. Mustang faces Broken Arrow in the 6A-I quarterfinals in a rematch of that regular season game in September.

A footnote to that regular-season meeting was that Mustang quarterback Jaden O’Neal – a Florida State commit – did not play in that game but is expected to in Friday’s rematch.
Mustang comes into Friday’s game at 8-3 overall, having defeated Norman North in an opening-round game last week. This season, O’Neal – a move-in from California – has thrown for nearly 2,300 yards and 27 TDs.
As for Broken Arrow, the Tigers come in at 8-2 overall. They drew an opening-round bye last week.
