The Baltimore Ravens knew that this offseason, there was a good chance that three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum could be moving on in free agency.
And he did, going to the Las Vegas Raiders.
That left a gaping hole in the middle of the offensive line, and one that many thought the Ravens would certainly address in free agency or the draft. But they didn’t.
Now, as we turn to the offseason workouts, the Ravens still don’t really have a plan at center, with Corey Bullock the starter if a game were played today.
For CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan, the Ravens’ figuring out the center position is a huge question mark.
“Baltimore saw Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum leave in free agency, and with no replacement coming by way of a veteran, most anticipated the team filling that hole at the draft,” Sullivan wrote. “While GM Eric DeCosta noted that he did try to land a center at the draft, it never came to fruition.
“Now, the Ravens will need to scour the remnants of the free agent market or look for a trade to fill that need.”

Could Ravens really not fix center position?
Well, I find it hard to believe that the franchise will be content heading into training camp with the depth chart as it currently is.
Of course, if Bullock does prove his worth in the offseason, and even Jovaughn Gwyn and Danny Pinter, then maybe Baltimore will be in a good position, but it is hardly ideal for Lamar, who is tasked with trying to get this team back to the postseason, to have a center with not much experience.
But that might be how things play out over the coming months if the Ravens can’t find a genuine starting center for 2026.
And that, my friends, isn’t ideal for a team wanting to make it back to the postseason.
