American star Ben Shelton will represent Team World at the 2026 Laver Cup with five of the world’s top 10 players now confirmed for this year’s event.
The world No.6 will join fellow countryman Taylor Fritz at the O2 event in London this September as Team World look to defend their title against Team Europe.
Shelton, who will be competing in his third Laver Cup, boasts a 6-2 record across his Vancouver 2023 and Berlin 2024 appearances, but missed last year’s triumph due to injury.
“It’s always an honor to be part of Team World,” said Shelton. “Getting the chance to spend a week with legends like Andre [Agassi] and Pat [Rafter], learning from them and competing alongside this group, is something I really value and that you don’t get anywhere else.

“I’ve got some great memories from Laver Cup already and I’m excited to get back out there in London with the guys.”
The 23-year-old is the third player confirmed for Team World, joining Fritz and world No.8 Alex de Minaur. Team Europe already has Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev on their roster with further player announcements to come ahead of the September 25-27 event.
Shelton has enjoyed an impressive season of far, already claiming two ATP titles in Dallas and Munich, taking his career tally to five.
Team World Captain Andre Agassi and Vice Captain Pat Rafter will hope Shelton continues his fine form into London later this year.
“Pat and I couldn’t be happier that Ben is joining the team,” said Agassi. “He is a dynamic talent that will help us in singles, doubles, as well as with his infectious energy in the locker room and from the bench.”
“There is also a unique layer to his participation as I played against his father, Bryan, numerous times and to be able to reconnect with him through this process adds a special element.”
Single session tickets for Laver Cup 2026 in London go on sale on Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. BST.
