Man United Premier League fixtures: Start and run-in for the 2026/27 season

By | June 19, 2026

Manchester United will aim to build upon the Michael Carrick feel-good factor when the former midfielder begins his first full season in charge in 2026/27.

After replacing Ruben Amorim last January, with United in disarray, Carrick masterminded a run to Champions League qualification.

Third position was secured at an eventual canter, thanks to wins over the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The demands of Champions League football will pose new questions for a squad that only had 40 competitive games last season on account of no European football and early domestic cup exits.

Here, we break down Manchester United’s start to the campaign and the season run-in, along with some of their standout fixtures of the year to come.

Man United 2026/27 Premier League fixtures: First five matches

United begin the season on Saturday, August 22, at Hull City before welcoming another of the newly promoted sides, Ipswich Town, to Old Trafford.

United claimed a dominant 2-0 win over Manchester City in Carrick’s first game in charge in January, and the first Manchester derby of the season takes place at Old Trafford on September 12.

That game is sandwiched by away matches at Everton and Fulham, trips that have traditionally treated United pretty well.
