The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be played at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 14. MLB awarded this year’s game to the Phillies way back in April 2019, locking in the location in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Two players already know they will be in Philadelphia for the festivities. Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers and second baseman Ernie Clement of the Blue Jays were the leading vote-getters in their leagues during Phase 1 of the fan election for the NL and AL starters, locking in their starting slots for the game.
The remaining starters were determined in Phase 2 of the fan voting, which closed Thursday, and will be revealed during Saturday’s show. Here are the finalists at each position:

* Named starter for leading league in Phase 1 of fan voting
Once the remaining starters are revealed, each team will add 11 more position players plus 12 pitchers to fill out the 32-player rosters. Additional players will be added later to replace those unable to play due to injury.
Pitchers and reserves will be selected based on a combination of where they landed in voting by the players and input from the commissioner’s office. The AL and NL managers no longer have direct input in filling out the rosters but still make the decision on which pitchers will start the game.
The players’ ballot in each league will determine the backup at each position, plus eight pitchers — five starters and three relievers. MLB will fill out the rest of the rosters with four more pitchers and two position players, allowing flexibility to ensure all 30 teams are represented.
