Lucy Olsen is making sure fans notice her away from the basketball court, too. The Washington Mystics guard showed off her glamorous side in a striking pregame photo that quickly began making the rounds on social media Friday. Athlete Vanity shared the picture on X with a simple camera emoji, allowing Olsen’s latest look to do all the talking.

Olsen has largely built her reputation through her smooth scoring ability, relentless work ethic and energetic personality. Her newest photos offered fans a different look at the former Iowa star as she enjoyed a stylish moment away from the intensity of the WNBA season.

The post arrived as Olsen and the Mystics continued battling for position in a crowded Eastern Conference playoff race.

Lucy Olsen continues growing following with Mystics

Olsen became a familiar name to college basketball fans during her memorable final season at Iowa.

The 5-foot-10 guard transferred to the Hawkeyes after spending three seasons at Villanova. She faced the difficult challenge of arriving immediately after Caitlin Clark’s historic college career, but Olsen quickly showed that she was capable of creating her own identity in Iowa City.

Washington selected Olsen with the No. 23 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. She successfully earned a roster spot and has remained with the Mystics during her first two professional seasons.

Olsen entered Friday having appeared in 16 games during the 2026 campaign. She was averaging 2.9 points, 1.1 assists and 0.7 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game while shooting 40 percent from the field.

Her opportunities have been limited, but Olsen has provided occasional scoring bursts off the bench. She scored five points in only five minutes during Washington’s 79-62 victory over the Toronto Tempo on July 14. Olsen also recorded five points and three assists in 15 minutes against the Golden State Valkyries on July 6.

Olsen’s social media presence has helped fans become familiar with her upbeat personality beyond what they see during games. Her personal slogan, “Basketball is fun,” perfectly captures the enthusiasm she has carried from Villanova to Iowa and eventually into the WNBA. That approach has helped Olsen remain prepared even when consistent minutes have been difficult to find in Washington’s crowded backcourt.

Friday’s photo showed that Olsen is also becoming increasingly comfortable stepping into the spotlight away from basketball. She may not receive the same national attention as some of the WNBA’s biggest fashion stars, but the Mystics guard certainly made an impression with her latest appearance.

As Washington continues pursuing a postseason berth, Olsen will attempt to make her mark whenever her number is called. In the meantime, her newest photos gave fans another reason to keep an eye on the 23-year-old guard.
