Animal Crossing: Everything You Need to Know About Festivale

This page will run through everything you can expect to do in Animal Crossing’s Festivale event, which takes place on February 15th. It takes its cues from Mardi Gras/Carnival, and is a colorful event built on big costumes, music, and feathers. It features special character Pave, who will guide you through the event, and it is guaranteed not to rain or snow on Festivale days.

You cannot time travel to Festivale itself, but you can time travel to the two week run up to the event, allowing you to buy all of the event items release beforehand.

This page will be updated as more information is revealed in the run up to the event!

Collecting Feathers

This will be the bulk of Festivale from what it seems. You will need to find feathers around the island; the trailer shows a villager chasing one through the air, but you might also be able to get them from villagers directly, or from competing in Festivale events.

Items

From February 1st until February 15th, Nook’s Cranny will sell Festivale furniture, and Able Sisters will sell Festivale outfits. There are 9 furniture items and 3 articles of clothing, and you can use time travel to get them.

Four new reactions have also be added for the event: Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva, Confetti. These will be available from Nook’s Cranny‘s cabinet.

Pavé

Pavé is a dancing peacock and the lead character for Festivale. He will appear in town on February 15th to celebrate, and you must give your feathers to him in exchange for special Festivale related prizes. He will not appear if you time travel to the 15th more than a day, you must wait for it to occur naturally.

Finding Pavé

Unlike a few special event characters, Pave is not difficult to find, which is in line with his enthusiastic, attention loving behaviour. He can be found in the town square, beneath a colorful arch.
