Patriots owner Robert Kraft gifted Bentley for 80th birthday by Jay-Z, Meek Mill

Patriots owner Robert Kraft was given quite the birthday surprise: The 80-year-old received a custom, drop-top blue Bentley.

If you’re wondering why Kraft, who has a listed net worth of $6.9 billion, couldn’t have simply bought the Bentley himself, look no further than the video posted Monday by rapper Meek Mill. Kraft can be heard saying, “How the fudge did you get it? Because we couldn’t get it.”

Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, who escorted Kraft to his new car, answered with, “We have resources,” before listing Mill, Jay-Z and others who went in on the gift:

The next question you might be asking is this: What’s the connection among Kraft, Jay-Z and Mill? They and Rubin partnered in January 2019 to form the criminal reform organization REFORM Alliance. The organization formed after Rubin organized for Kraft to visit Mill in spring of 2018 for a highly controversial parole violation.

“After meeting him in jail, I felt affection for him,” Kraft said. “We had developed a nice relationship. And I’ve never been to jail before. Going there and seeing him, I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night when I got home. Because here I’m thinking how out of touch something like myself is with what’s really going on.’
