John Cena Admits His First Acting Gig Was ‘Absolute Fall On Your Face Failure’

By | June 18, 2021

John Cena is undoubtedly one of the best Superstars to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. He is a 16-time World Champion and was the face of the company for well over a decade. He hasn’t appeared in WWE in well over a year due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

John Cena began his acting career with 2006’s ‘The Marine,’ which had been produced by WWE Studios. All of John Cena’s works during the early years of his acting career were critically panned and didn’t do well commercially either.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, John Cena talked about having to change his perception of acting after his abysmal time as an actor in the early years of his career. John Cena would go on to call the early years of his acting career as an absolute fall on your face failure.

I had to change my perception and that came after tremendous failure. I thought after all those bad movies I was done. Fifteen years later I got a second chance at the movie business and we are talking about Fast 9. But that comes from absolute fall on your face failure.”

After 2015 John Cena starred in much better movies such as Trainwreck, Sisters, Blockers and Bumblebee. John Cena is set to star in the 9th film of the highly popular film franchise, Fast & Furious and also in The Suicide Squad this year.
