With the recent announcement its upcoming release in the West, Sega and CyberConnect2 have finally showed a new trailer of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles‘ Adventure Mode.

The Adventure Mode for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is its single-player story mode that retells the events of the anime’s first season, as well as its highly successful film Mugen Train. As seen in the trailer below, you’ll play as series protagonist Tanjiro Kamado as he tracks down his family’s killer in an attempt to turn his demon sister Nezuko back into a human.

The trailer shows Tanjiro walking around different places seen in the Demon Slayer anime series. It also flaunts its boss fights featuring some of the first season’s toughest demons, including the Hand Demon, the Swamp Demon, and Susamaru. Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will also feature both the original voice cast from the English and Japanese versions of the anime. You can check out the trailer for yourself below.

Sega also announced several editions for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. The Physical Standard Edition and the Digital Standard Edition will cost $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost $69.99. The latter will get you early access to the game, costumes, character unlock keys, 8,000 Slayer Points to use on in-game rewards, avatars, and a theme (depending on your designated platform).

Demon Slayer began as a manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. The anime television adaptation premiered in April 2019. The film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train made its debut in Japan in 2020, and is a direct sequel to the anime series.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 15, 2021. As stated above, those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will get early access to the game on October 13.
