Deadpool Ask Korg For Some MCU Tips in Free Guy Trailer Reaction

With only a month left to go before the long-awaited release of 20th Century’s Free Guy, lead star Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to share a fun promotional video for Shawn Levy’s forthcoming action-comedy film, featuring Reynolds reprising his role as Deadpool after nearly three years since Once Upon a Deadpool. The video, which you can check out below, features the popular anti-hero as he invites Taika Waititi’s Korg to react to the Free Guy trailer. In addition, Deadpool also got the chance to ask Korg about some tips about getting into the MCU. This promo teaser actually marks the first time that the Merc with a Mouth has officially interacted with a MCU character since the Disney-Fox acquisition.

In Free Guy, a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story … one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way … before it is too late.

Joining Ryan Reynolds are Emmy winner Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Blindspotting‘s ), and Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder), who is reuniting with Reynolds after previously starring together in the infamous DC film Green Lantern in 2011.

The film will also feature cameos from some of the video gaming world’s most popular influencers including Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Lannan “LazarBeam” Eacott, Seán William “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and Daniel “DanTDM” Middleton.

Free Guy is directed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Night at the Museum franchise) from a script by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn and a story by Lieberman. Producers are Ryan Reynolds, p.g.a., Shawn Levy, p.g.a., Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti and Adam Kolbrenner with Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, George Dewey, Dan Levine, and Michael Riley McGrath serving as executive producers.

The film is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on August 13.
