Bayonetta 3 Returns From Hiatus With New Trailer & Release Window

By | September 23, 2021

Bayonetta has been absent from the spotlight for quite some time and she’s finally made her reappearance in the latest Nintendo Direct. She starred in a new trailer for Bayonetta 3, the oft-delayed sequel to the 2014 action game, which not only showed the game but also revealed its 2022 release window.

The gameplay trailer at the bottom of the article focused on Bayonetta in all of her glory as she pummeled monsters with her hair-based witch attacks. Her larger attacks appear to be a new ability called Demon Masquerade, which “[channels] the power of demons” so she can “engage in larger-than-life action.”

Like Kirby and the Forgotten Land, this Bayonetta 3 surprise was leaked beforehand. Nintendo seemingly published some materials on accident earlier, spoiling the game’s appearance at the Direct.
