Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Achievements Appear Online, Announcement Likely Imminent

By | October 6, 2021

First it was reported, then rated, and now it has achievement icons. Achievement icons for the rumored Grand Theft Auto trilogy remaster (which might be called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition) have leaked online, yielding more evidence of the bundle’s existence.

Users on GTAforums came across these pictures after digging through the Rockstar launcher on PC. Icons for the games showed up first just before achievement icons were eventually dug up a few pages later by alloc8or on the forums. They are mostly similar to those found in the trophy icons from the PlayStation 4 versions of the games (and PlayStation 3, too, in San Andreas‘ case). There are some differences and multiple additions (fans were quick to notice a new achievement that’s possibly linked to Bigfoot in San Andreas), but they are unmistakably the same achievements.

It’s likely that this remaster is on the verge of being officially announced. Grand Theft Auto III‘s 20th anniversary is on October 22 so that could be a prime date to reveal (and possibly launch) this compilation that is rumored to not be a full remake, but have a mix of “new and old graphics.” Rockstar has not made any motions either way.
