Youtuber Jake Paul is set to fight former British boxer turned television personality Tommy Fury on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Leading into the December fight, Paul has asked for some bizarre things in their contract. Two of the clauses have been made public this week. The contract has reportedly been finalized, but it is uncertain whether each clause has been finalized or not.
PAUL VS. FURY: Date, TV channel & location for fight
One of the clauses states that if Fury loses, he would have to legally change his name to “Tommy Fumbles” for one year only. But, if Paul loses, he must give Fury $500,000 from his own purse.
The Bet:
Since Tyson Fury says if Tommy loses to me he will make him change his last name..
So then @tommytntfury if you beat me I will pay you an extra $500k.
However, if I beat you then you have to change your name to Tommy Fumbles for 1 year.

So, what started as a Twitter bet almost a month ago has now been written down in their fight contract for legal purposes.
This isn’t the first time Paul has made wild bets with his opponents. In his August match against Tyron Woodley, he bet that if he won, Woodley would have to get “I love Jake Paul” tattooed on him. Since Paul won, Woodley had to follow through with the bet. He ended up getting the phrase on his middle finger.

John Fury, father of Tommy, hasn’t held back his thoughts on the contract. According to him, Paul was the one who inserted the “bizarre” clauses, but he isn’t worried about the potential impacts to his son because he believes Paul stands no chance to Fury.
“The contract has been bizarre. If I was going to go through what they’ve put in the contract, we’d be here all day,” John Fury said, via an interview with BT Sport. “I’ve said yes to everything; yes, yes, yes, yes, do what you’ve got to do because I know Jake Paul can’t beat Tommy no matter what he does.”
Fury is the half-brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, who may be in his corner during the December match.

Fury claims to have been fighting for most of his life, while Paul has only picked up boxing in the last year. Fury has competed in seven fights, winning all of them. Paul has competed in four fights, also winning all of them. This will be Fury’s fourth fight this year, while it will be Paul’s third.
