HAIKYO, THE SEQUEL TO RETURN OF THE WARRIOR

After the terrifying events of SHI: Return of the Warrior, Ana Ishikawa must now save her teenage daughter Hotaru who’s been kidnapped by a murderous “Shi” copycat killer. But to do so, she’s forced to ally herself with her lifelong enemy, the manipulative Masahiro Arashi. But what if it is all a ruse leading Ana into a deadly trap set by the Yakuza Oyabun?

Find out in SHI: HAIKYO, the 52-page, full color sequel to Return of the Warrior. This action-packed, psychological samurai thriller reunites Shi creator Billy Tucci and writer Steven Peros (Stoker & Wells: Order of the Golden Dawn, The Cat’s Meow), artist Gardenio Lima, colorist Brian Miller (Hi-Fi Colour Design), letterer Mindy Lopkin (Zombie-Sama!), and designer Nile Scala for a journey that takes the reader deep into the haunted Ruins of New York’s Roosevelt Island as a mother must embrace death so that her daughter may live.

Cosplay superstar Joanie Brosas provides Shi’s first-ever photo cover, as do artists Maria Laura Sanapo (Miss Fury: Joy Division, Wonder Woman: Agent of Peace) and fan-favorite illustrator Conny Valentina. The campaign is also chockfull of exclusive rewards including apparel, original artwork, commissions, challenge coins, a premium hardcover, special editions and even perks where backers will find their names and likeness in the comic.

Billy, Crusade Comics’ Executive Director, Deborah Tucci and the creators of Haikyo will be going YOUTUBE LIVE tonight at 7:30PM EST on the PopXP! Channel for a “Launch Party” (https://youtu.be/UwwZaFAlTKY). “We all cannot wait to share Ana Ishikawa’s greatest adventure.” Stated Billy Tucci, “and we encourage all those who’ve made our dreams of seeing Shi return to comics a reality to join us. It’s going to be a wild ride!”
