The ParaSOL research complex is located hundreds of kilometers above Tokyo and is connected to the ground by a huge space elevator, which represents two amazing achievements of engineering and international cooperation. But when the restrained kaiju Rodan and Ebirah show up at the lab’s enigmatic Section X, everything threatens to fall apart—literally—as the two tear through each other and escape their restraints. A team of scientists must halt the two giants while they are still fighting and still falling to Earth down the space elevator shaft before their velocity becomes fatal for both them and humanity.
