THOUGHT BUBBLE COMIC CONVENTION HARROGATE CONVENTION CENTRE 12th & 13th NOVEMBER 2022
Thought Bubble Festival have announced the full programme for an expanded festival week in their hometown of Leeds and their annual comic convention, now based at Harrogate’s Convention Centre.
Taking place from 4th – 13th November, Thought Bubble have partnered with LeedsBID to pack Leeds city centre with a week of talks, workshops, installations, exhibitions, screenings and venue takeovers to celebrate the weird and wonderful world of comics.
Just as Thought Bubble’s festival week draws to a close, the convention itself, now rooted in its new home of Harrogate Convention Centre, bursts into life. November 12th and 13th will see the gathering of some of the most influential writers, artists and comic creators in the world, as well as the UK’s incredible grass roots comics community and thousands of fans, for one of the most important weekends in the UK’s comic book calendar.
The convention is also playing host to an extensive range of panels that cover everything from reconsidering classic comics to invaluable Q&As for budding creators. Scott Snyder (Batman, Swamp Thing) will be the focus of a guest spotlight panel, Professing X sees industry icons Al Ewing (Immortal Hulk), Si Spurrier (X-Men, Suicide Squad) and Kieron Gillen (Wicked + The Divine, Uncanny X-Men) explore how after 60 years, The X-Men continue to mean so much to so many, whilst Shelly Bond (Off Register Press), Eve Greenwood, David Barach and Lucy Sullivan put their heads together for Self Publishing – How, Why and Funding.
With its festival in Leeds and convention in Harrogate, Thought Bubble is on a mission to cover Yorkshire in comic art and make the region an essential place for artists, writers & fans alike. Tickets for Thought Bubble Comic Convention are on sale now with under 12s, carers and over 65s tickets totally free.
