The Entertainment Software Rating Board has let slip that they have rated the third-person psychological horror title The Medium for PlayStation 5.
Initially launched for Xbox Series X|S and PC back in January, the game was a highlight of the Xbox Game Pass lineup. It seems now though, that the game will be jumping to the Sony side of the street sooner, rather than later.
Check out the full The Medium rating below:
This is an adventure horror game in which players assume the role of a medium investigating an abandoned communist resort in Poland. As players explore dilapidated buildings, they can transition to a spiritual, hellish realm to help solve puzzles and interact with characters. Some interactions unlock sequences that depict instances of violence: a character shooting a girl (off-screen); a character beating and choking a bound man from a first-person view; a man being pummeled by another character. Some areas depict large blood stains on the walls and floors; one sequence depicts a bathtub full of blood. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” are heard in the game.
Based on a recent announcement that saw Bloober Team confirm that they’ll be joining forces with Koch Media specifically for physical editions of both The Medium and Observer: System Redux, we could also see physical copies of the game turning up at retail for PlayStation 5 in due course.
No release date has been confirmed for The Medium on PlayStation 5 as yet, but it’d be a strange turn of events if that wasn’t remedied by the time the curtain falls on E3 2021.
