In December 2010, a Staff Sgt. from Las Vegas named Nathan Paet was murdered in his garage by two people. Nathan’s wife, Michelle Paet, masterminded the whole plan. Furthermore, Michelle had a brief affair with one of her husband’s killers, Michael Rodriguez. Apart from Michelle and Michael, there were two more people involved in this killing. They were named, Corry Hawkins and Jessica Austin.
According to KSVN, Michelle Paet is serving life imprisonment, without the possibility of parole. Furthermore, The Cinemaholic reports that Corry Hawkins and Michael Rodriguez are also serving life imprisonment while Jessica Austin pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges.
The tragic murder case of Nathan Paet will be showcased in the upcoming episode of Dateline NBC, which will air on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 10/9c on NBC. The episode is titled, Part of the Plan.
According to Memorable TV, the synopsis of the episode reads, “Airman Nathan Paet of the United States Air Force is shot multiple times inside his garage, prompting Las Vegas detectives to deduce a secret romantic relationship and a murderous plot via a trail of clues.”
Why did Michelle Paet get her husband Nathan Paet murdered?
According to The Cinemaholic, Michelle Paet would have received $650,000 if Nathan Paet died. This was life insurance money, and also due to the fact that her husband was in the military.
According to KSVN, During Michelle’s sentencing in 2016, she was sobbing. Furthermore, she explained that she regretted her actions and was apologetic for what she had done. She said, “I made a huge mistake and a really bad choice and I’m truly sorry. I hope and pray that one day each and every one of them will find it in their hearts to truly forgive me.”
At the time of his death, Nathan was 28 years old.
