Microsoft has announced that Activision Blizzard games will soon be coming to Xbox Game Pass and they’ll be starting with Diablo 4 next month. Earlier in the day, the Xbox Japan Twitter account had also confirmed that Tales of Arise will be coming to the service later this month.
When is Diablo 4 coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Diablo 4 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 28 and is the first of Activision Blizzard’s games to arrive on the service.
Microsoft didn’t announce any of the other games to follow it, but previous rumors have claimed that some of the first games to come to Xbox Game Pass will be older titles like the legacy Call of Duty games.
Meanwhile, Tales of Arise will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on February 20. Tales of Arise was first mentioned in the title of the Xbox Wire blog post revealing the February 2024 wave 1 Game Pass games but was missing from the article’s text. Microsoft later confirmed this had been an error and switched it for Resident Evil 3. The full list of wave 2 games is yet to be announced but is expected to be revealed at the start of next week.
Microsoft held a special edition of the Xbox podcast today and the main purpose of this was to confirm that four first-party games will be coming to platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo. However, during that podcast, Xbox Gaming Content and Studios president Matt Booty confirmed that Xbox Game Pass will not be making the jump to other consoles.
Game Pass will continue to be exclusive to Xbox and PC platforms with cloud streaming available on other devices for select games.
