Earlier this month, Golden Globe nominee Andrew Garfield was the latest Spider-Man vet to debunk his much-speculated appearance in Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, in a recent interview with MTV News, Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone has finally addressed the circulating rumors about her potential appearance in the Tom Holland-led Marvel Cinematic Universe feature. Just like her The Amazing Spider-Man co-star, Stone quickly denied the rumors of her involvement, confirming that she won’t be reprising her role as Gwen Stacy.
“I have heard those rumors,” Stone said. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything, but I’m not [involved]. I’m not. I don’t know what you’re supposed to respond as an alumnus (laughs)…”
The Cruella star also went to open up about her experience in working on the Amazing Spider-Man films, revealing that even though it was challenging to do, she still had a great time because of how much she loved working with director Marc Webb, and the whole team behind the Andrew Garfield-led Spider-Man films.
Emma Stone channels her dark side in @cruella, but this isn’t her first big blockbuster. She spoke with @joshuahorowitz about her fond memories on the set of #SpiderMan – and those @SpiderManMovie casting rumors.
